Coaching: Turning where you are now into where you want to be

Coaching is a focused and collaborative process that can help you gain clarity, identify what you want to achieve and take practical steps towards your goals.

You may already have a particular goal in mind, or you may simply know that something needs to change. Coaching gives you dedicated space to step back, think differently and explore what may be getting in the way.

Together, we can clarify your priorities, recognise your strengths, challenge limiting assumptions and turn your ideas into realistic and achievable actions.

Coaching can support you to:

  • Set and achieve meaningful personal or professional goals

  • Gain greater clarity about what you want

  • Build confidence and recognise your strengths

  • Navigate career or life changes

  • Make difficult decisions

  • Develop as a leader

  • Work through barriers that may be holding you back

  • Identify practical actions and maintain momentum

  • Create greater balance between work and the rest of your life

With more than 20 years' experience in leadership, education, coaching and professional development, I bring extensive experience of helping people reflect, grow and move towards the changes they want to make.

What's the difference between coaching and counselling?

There can be some overlap, but they have different purposes.

Counselling provides a space to explore emotional difficulties, relationships, past experiences and patterns that may be affecting how you feel and live today. The emphasis is often on understanding yourself and your experiences more deeply.

Coaching tends to be more focused on the present and future. We start with where you are now, explore where you would like to be, and work together to identify the goals, choices and actions that can help you get there.

You don't need to arrive knowing which approach is right for you. During our initial conversation, we can talk about what you are looking for and whether counselling or coaching would best meet your needs.
